Na hun negen songs lang met bakken lof te hebben overladen, ga ik ermee ophouden, het is gewoon niet meer eerlijk (t.a.v. andere straffe bands) en waarschijnlijk niet meer geloofwaardig, dus ... wie het nu nog niet heeft begrepen, zal het nooit snappen noch voelen. Dit hier is zes minuten en drieëndertig seconden puur genieten, van de sfeer, de bezwerende parlando/zang, de ritmesectie, de gitaarsolo's en de keys. Psychedelisch rock/blues als benchmark voor alles wat kwam en nog komen zal.

"Holding Your Breath Across the River" is an homage to my younger self. When you are a child, you believe in magic, magical things, rituals that are unfounded by anything except your fresh little kid brain. My sister and I would hold our breath as long as we could while crossing the bridge to go to my grandmothers house for good luck. We would count the seconds until we would turn blue. At some point in one's life the realization that there is nothing that stays the same moment to moment or even second to second and it thrusts you into the world of change and out of the world of safety that has been constructed around oneself. I miss my younger ignorant self and strive to be like he was. Enjoy the new tune.
