Niets leuker dan wat rechttoe-rechtaan rock & roll om je zinnen wat te verzetten. Street Rock Rebels hebben dat maar al te goed begrepen, en laten met hun nieuwe mini-cd Ghosts & Demons vier straffe tracks vol energie, melodie en goed vormgegeven woede op je los.
De vier groepsleden hebben muzikale achtergrond varierend van Death Metal, H8000 hardcore, Oi Punk! tot zelfs Fusion Funk, en maken samen energieke streetpunk op een hoog tempo die nergens de melodie verliest met teksten die je zowel op je 13de als je 47ste kunnen aanspreken.
Muzikaal zijn ze een mengeling van UK punk en Amerikaanse Skatepunk, maar vooral aanstekelijk, meezingbaar en effectief.
Het moeilijkste wat er is? Dingen simpel doen klinken. En SRR nailed it.

In what they call New Wave of Belgian Street Punk, Street Rock Rebels brings shirty, melodic PunkRock, straight from the heart and the soul!The shows are heavily laden, energetic and the songs are absolute shout-along Earworms! Thereās some hardcore influences, some heavy metal, some rock ān roll. Love music, hate politics!
In 2021 Fred Van Opstal decided to break the fences and to unleash his internal PunkRock beast! He summoned his old friend UxJx (Liar) for the bass and found in Val (DrumslasherV) a strong and motivated drummer. Glenn joined in May 23 on the 6-string pouring a refined melodical sauce over the steaming punkrock stew. Less than a year later, the band already released a first EP in April 2023 (with guitarist Lucas) and in February 2024 the next EP TroublemakerĀ was released.
Street Rock Rebels made a fast introduction in the Flemish Punk and metal scene and has been booked for over 20 times in the first years, including some stage supporting for big heroes like The Exploited and Varukers.
