Distant heeft de opvolger van Heritage aangekondigd. De nieuwe plaat, Into Despair, verschijnt op 6 november 2026 via Century Media Records. Tegelijkertijd presenteert de Nederlands/Slowaakse deathcoreformatie de nieuwe single All Will Be (N)One, waarop ook Ricky Myers van Suffocation zijn opwachting maakt.
Met All Will Be (N)One zet Distant opnieuw stevig in op een loodzware mix van deathcore, slam en deathmetal. Volgens de band staat het nummer in het teken van sterfelijkheid en de onvermijdelijke afloop van het leven.
“All Will Be (N)One is a bleak, atmospheric track that explores humanity’s fear of death and the inevitability of time’s collapse. Blending crushing riffs with relentless rhythms, the song builds a sense of slow-burning dread before erupting into moments of raw confrontation. Lyrically, it shifts the perspective from resistance to acceptance. The feature from Ricky Myers of Suffocation adds an extra layer of intensity and authority, reinforcing the track’s central message: that everything fades, and all will be (n)one.”
Into Despair wordt door Distant omschreven als eeb persoonlijke album. Waar eerdere albums vooral fictieve werelden en concepten verkenden, ligt de nadruk deze keer op persoonlijke ervaringen, verlies en de manier waarop gedeeld verdriet mensen met elkaar verbindt.

Tour
Ondertussen blijft Distant ook live flink aan de weg timmeren. Na een Europese tour met Sylosis en een recente Amerikaanse reeks shows, waaronder optredens met In Flames en Thrown, staat begin 2027 de New World Killer EU/UK Tour op de planning.
Tijdens die tour deelt de band het podium met Spite, Emmure en Mauled.
Op 31 januari 2027 doet deze snoeiharde package eerst België aan met een show in Kavka Zappa (Ticket link). Een dag later, op 1 februari 2027, staat het gezelschap in 013 in Tilburg (Ticket link).
Eerder verschenen de singles Desolation, Nothing Left To Hate, Spirit (met Tyler Beam van The Last Ten Seconds Of Life) en Rat Torture als voorproefjes van Into Despair.
Vanaf morgen (3 juli 2026) is daar All Will Be (N)One aan toegevoegd, inclusief een videoclip.
