De eerste single werd gekenmerkt door eigenzinnige ritmepatronen? Wat dan te zeggen over de opvolger ervan? De mannen van Leprous kunnen geen maat houden, laten de ritmes ontglippen, maken er een zootje van etc. etc. Polyritmiek noemen ze dat, vergelijkbaar met wat o.a. Meshuggah doet! Ah zo, héél straffe muzikanten dus die diverse lagen in hun songs steken en alles toch als één geheel en bovendien nog eens melodieus kunnen laten klinken. Yep, Silently Walking Alone is simpelweg instrumentaal geniaal met daarbovenop die onwereldse stem van Solberg. De lijn van Aphelion wordt alvast doorgetrokken.

“Silently Walking Alone” once again shows a brand-new side of LEPROUS sonically, shedding their progressive roots to create a sound that’s thrillingly alien but adventurous and familiar at the same time. This is the new sound of Leprous in 2024 and only proves that the band is hell bent to reach a whole new level beyond the heavy metal landscape.

LEPROUS’ vocalist Einar Solberg checked about the new single as follows:

“‘Silently Walking Alone’ is the first song of the album, and it gives a whole other vibe than our previous album. It’s very electronic, epic, simplistic and heavy. It’s kind of the sister song of “Atonement” sound wise, but you’ll be up for some surprises when it comes to the rest of the album. The song is about gradually learning to be OK by myself, and to be OK in my own company. Hikes and nature have helped me quieting my mind and becoming more leveled.”

LEPROUS have also announced very special and exclusive European headline tour for 2025, where they will perform a unique set each night. The cities and venues were hand-picked by the band themselves and the tour will be the first time Europe can hear “Melodies Of Atonement” live as well as all their fan favorites and more. 

LEPROUS added the following:

“We’ll do 7 very exclusive shows with LEPROUS in Europe for “Melodies Of Atonement”. This time we will take the show and production to a new level, so if you wanna experience the ultimate LEPROUS show, this is it!”
