Ik denk niet dat ik ooit had verwacht dat deze collab een ding zou kunnen zijn. Na de aankondiging wist ik echter meteen; dit kan niet slecht zijn! En eerlijk? Deze heeft al mijn verwachtingen weten te overtreffen. Niet alleen laat Alissa hier haar waanzinnige grunts horen, ook mogen we haar clean vocals nog eens bewonderen. Dat ze zo hoog kon gaan met haar stem en er zo'n geweldige powerklank kon uitpersen, wist ik nog niet. Maar hey... Die dame kan gewoon alles. De blend van haar stem met de supersonische riffs en typische over-the-top solo's van Herman en Sam, werkt zo goed. Die extra hoge noten in de harmonieƫn naar het einde toe maken het helemaal af en bezorgen mij telkens weer kippenvel. Burning Heart is op zich dan misschien geen nieuw nummer, het maakte namelijk al deel uit van hun laatste album, Warp Speed Warriors. Deze versie aan de andere kant... Is dankzij de bijdrage van Alissa zoveel beter dan het originele. Voor mij is dit absoluut dƩ powermetal release van het jaar! Kan Alissa niet gewoon permanent deel uitmaken van Dragonforce? Pretty please?
