Volgens Lars Ulrich (drummer van Metallica) zijn "nieuwe favoriete band". Dat zijn adelbrieven die kunnen tellen. Bokassa verzorgt dan ook het voorprogramma van Metallica op hun volgende tour. Deze tour houdt op 16 juni halt in het Koning Boudewijnstadion.
Bokassa is een Noorse underground band. Ze spelen een mix van stoner-punk, trash metal en sing-along refreinen. Op dat vlak snappen we wel waarom ze samen met Ghost het voorprogramma van Metallica voorzien. De invloeden zijn duidelijk.
Op 21 juni presenteren ze hun nieuwe album, Crimson Riders. Dat album werd door Metal Hammer UK alvast uitgeroepen tot beste debuut.
