Verrassing! Compleet onverwacht werd er vannacht een nieuwe single van Wiegedood gedropt. Na Nuages is het nu de beurt aan Now Will Always Be, een tweede nummer van het album “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road” dat uitkomt op 14 januari 2022.

There is no escape. Er is letterlijk geen ontsnappen aan.
Alweer die keiharde gitaarmuur waar je tegenaan botst. Donkere, sombere melodieën gebouwd op een staaltje fantastisch drumwerk, zoals we van hen gewoon zijn. Toch is er een duidelijk verschil merkbaar met hun eerdere trilogie De Doden Hebben Het Goed.
Waar toen melancholie overheerste, overheerst nu razernij, met in zijn handpalm de melancholie die we zo koesteren en misschien niet genoeg van kunnen krijgen.
Een andere insteek die nieuwsgierigheid heeft gewekt naar de rest van het album.

’There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road’ focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society. It steers clear from the typical Black Metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn’t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome.
