Awel beste country haters, ge kunt ne keer dik mijne zak opblazen! Figuurlijk dan hƩ, want anders gaat dat verdikke pijn doen, kan ik me inbeelden. Wat deze jongeman hier doet is ronduit schitterend. Je kan onderaan ook de studio versie beluisteren, maar zoals jullie ondertussen zouden moeten weten, publiceer ik graag de live opnames, zeker in dit genre, omdat pas dan duidelijk wordt of de stem Ʃcht wel overeind blijft. Triston klinkt live een pak snediger, heeft een leuke korrel in de stem, een pak minder gepolijst dan in de studio take. De backings kruiden deze bluesy song nog eens heerlijk soul/gospel.
Nog even dit: Triston Harper is 15 jaar!!! Hij won deze editie niet, al is hij wat mij betreft veruit de betere zanger vergeleken met de 21-jarige winnares.

"'H.O.P.E' is a song that means so much to me because it helped me get through the worst time in my life,ā Harper says. āI was in the mood to write one day so I propped up my phone and started recording. This song kinda just poured out of me. I've seen a lot in my life and as I was writing it, it almost felt like I just needed to get all of that out in song.ā
At only 15-years-old, the McIntosh, Alabama native Harper quickly propelled himself to fan-favorite status on the 22nd season of American Idol. He advanced to the Top 5. Harper, who first discovered his love of music via his grandfatherās Johnny Cash records, is a proud member of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians.
