Deze single wou ik jullie absoluut niet onthouden: Palace Of Dread van de Amerikaanse beloftevolle, veelzijdige band Thousand Below.

Voor mij is deze band toch wel een nieuwe ontdekking. Lekker hard met een potentieel om heel de dag in men hoofd te zitten. Ze brachten deze track uit naar aanleiding van hun aankomende, alreeds 4de studioalbum Buried in Jade. Deze song, geproduceerd door Josh Gilbert van het aan populariteit winnende Spiritbox, luidt een nieuwe muzikale periode in voor Thousand Below. Harder en rauwer dan hun sound voorheen.

Beluister zeker even hun singles Shake en Wrong Again die hen in 2024 op de kaart zetten.

Wat mij vooral aantrekt in deze track is de basgitaar en de rauwere stem tussendoor. Ze geven de song een stevigere beat, waarmee ze zichzelf wat extra kick bezorgen.

Buried In Jade verschijnt op 8 augustus via Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG.
