Ik zag enkele weken terug via mijn socials iets over deze band passeren en kon het niet laten eens te luisteren. Wat ik hoorde beviel me, al duurde het even voor ik de tijd had deze ballad te posten. Een folk ballad die net donker genoeg is om me te bekoren. Ballad of River van het Nederlandse Sunfire leunt bij gothic americana aan, mede dankzij de vibe, maar ook door de zang en de inbreng van een viool. Zalige song.
Lees Based in a small town behind the dunes in northwestern Europe, a group of friends formed the band Sunfire in 2017. Driven and armed with instruments, this numbered group of musicians stormed the stages of Europe with an exceptionally powerful dark blend of Americana, Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Roots & Rock.
