Lekker vunzige en toch frisse rock&roll uit het V.K. Het debuut van de 4 gaat van start met een gesproken intro die ons warm moet maken voor wat komt. Een kleine minuut tijdverlies gezien de eerste beide tracks een richting lijken aan te geven (energieke rock&roll). Wanneer je dan van Punk Song een korte uppercut verwacht, gooien ze het roer om en verrassen ze ons met een groovend stoner rock monster dat doet denken aan onze eigen Black Mirrors. Ook bij It Won't Stop blijft het tempo slepend en kruipen er donkere blues invloeden in de sound. Terug even pure rock&roll om dan uit te pakken met Blue Desert: gedurende een dikke 10 minuten worden we bedwelmd door psychedelische en bluesy sferen, met vanzelfsprekend een stevig aanzwellende finale. Inderdaad, ook hier is een vergelijking met Black Mirrors en zelfs All Them Witches niet vergezocht. Afsluiter Electric Church gaat dan weer snoeihard en poepsimpel zoals we van een Eagles Of Death Metal gewoon zijn. De productie volgt trouwens die trend: low-end zodat we ons meteen in een zweterige underground club wanen. Straf debuut!

On listening to level of musicianship and vocal prowess shown on their debut, you can only assume this group young blood’s signed a deal with the devil on their journey to the desert. The album was recorded at the legendary Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California and like all great rock and roll it oozes the vibe and attitude heard on the record.
