Het Italiaanse label Time To Kill Records hebben een nieuw paardje hun stal zien binnen galopperen. Het gaat om de Russische symphonic metal band SHININGSTAR. "Hebben we er daar dan nog niet genoeg van?" hoor ik u tot hier denken... Misschien wel maar die van Shining Star hebben wel een paar sterke troeven, zoals u in de video voor Shining Queen of the North Star zelf kunt zien. Zonder een originaliteitsprijs te zullen winnen is dit best een leuk nummer. Maar let u vooral op de heerlijk strakke maar tegelijkertijd sprankelende drum van Alexey Semyonov. Die gooit er trouwens ook enkele stevige grunts tegenaan. Ook frontvrouwe Elena "Luka" wisselt haar mooie, cleane zang af met lekkere grunts. Deze live video werd vandaag online geplaatst. De originele clip mag echter ook gezien worden. Die krijgt u er hieronder gratis en voor niets bovenop van ons.

Russian symphonic metallers SHININGSTAR have signed to Italian label Time To Kill Records for the release of their first album, "Destiny".
The album will see an official release in late 2021. A live rendition of the single "Shining Queen of the North Star" is now streaming.
SHININGSTAR is a symphonic metal band from Saint Petersburg, Russia, formed in 2020 by musicians of Hellbomb, Katalepsy, Infiltration, Ethir Anduin, Troll Bens Fir and Svartby.
Influenced by Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Epica and Fleshgod Apocalypse, the band continues the tradition and staple of the symphonic metal sound, encompassing all that is melancholic and brooding and combining it with unique orchestral and melodic arrangements.
