Saxon brengt met hun nieuwe single Paint It Black een hommage aan de Rolling Stones. Al klinkt het zoals het origineel, toch is het een andere beleving die je krijgt. Onder het motto "Goan en bluvn goan" brengt Saxon een meer gepolijste versie van Paint It Black. Altijd gevaarlijk natuurlijk het nummer van een ander brengen, maar als deze oude krijgers ergens hun tanden in zetten, laten ze niet meer los. Met deze schitterende song als gevolg. Benieuwd wat de rest van hun nieuwe album Inspirations zal brengen. Inspirations verschijnt op 19 maart via Silver Lining Music.

Legendary British Heavy Metal heroes Saxon loudly continue unveiling their Inspirations covers project with second single āSpeed Kingā, Deep Purpleās classic tune from their 1970 album Deep Purple In Rock.
āWithout āSpeed Kingā there would be no āMotorcycle Manā,ā said Biff Byford when explaining the importance of the song on Saxonās early career ascendance. "I love the attitude, energy and driving speed of this song, not to mention those screaming vocals! Iād never sung it before, and I had great fun with it!ā
āPaint It Blackā is part of Saxonās forthcoming 11-track Inspirations album, where in 2020 the band took residence at Brockfield Hall in York, UK, to record cover versions of various songs which deeply influenced the band, engaging in a proper old-school live and recording process which was a hallmark of many old-school rock ānā roll records.
Inspirations was produced by Biff Byford with Jacky Lehmann engineering and will be released through Silver Lining Music on March 19th 2021.
