Wanneer je een banaal stukje tekst - "Am I Gonna Do That? Yes, I'm Gonna Do That!"

Famished Mammon captures the dark side of the Balkans.
Beyond the trumpets, the dancing, and the sun — elements carefully woven into the soundscape — lies violence, oppression, and a constant struggle with authority. Acts justified in the name of materialism slowly erode us, until the victims themselves become the perpetrators.
Through the use of progressive structures, metal tones, ethnic and orchestral instruments, Part of the Theory narrate the adult world as they experience it, drawing inspiration from the place where they grew up.
The single is accompanied by an official music video, where, through a surreal lens and the intense use of symbolism, the narrative unfolds in a non-linear and non-literal way, inviting the viewer into an open-ended experience of interpretation. Part of the Theory is a progressive soundtrack band that blends the modern, edgy sound of contemporary progressive music with cinematic orchestrations, crafting a unique sound that bridges the intensity of the progressive scene with the grandeur of film music. Active in Athens’ underground music scene, the band has built a reputation for their dynamic live performances and innovative compositions.
Their presence in the Athens underground scene has been particularly strong, with performances at major venues across the city. They garnered attention for their distinct musical identity and stood out at Schoolwave Festival, Greece’s most renowned youth music festival, with consecutive guest appearances in 2022 and 2023 — solidifying their position as an emerging force in the progressive music landscape.
Their unique musical approach led them to compose original material for the popular Netflix series "Maestro in Blue" by Christoforos Papakaliatis. This collaboration culminated in a live performance featured in one of the episodes of the show’s second season (2024), further establishing their presence within the cinematic music sphere.
In the same year, the band made their second television appearance on the show "Mousiko Kouti", hosted by Nikos Portokaloglou, where they introduced their work to a broader audience.
The year 2025 marks the official beginning of their musical journey with the release of their debut single "FAMISHED MAMMON". The song, blending the intensity of progressive metal with traditional Balkan elements, explores the emotional and social struggles of contemporary human nature, focusing on the themes of greed and gluttony. This release is only the beginning of a series of future performances and projects.
