Sounds | Liam St. John - Man Of The North (live)

Man Of The North is verschenen op 5 september 2025 via Big Loud Records.

Roots-rock rambler Liam St. John released his anticipated debut studio album Man Of The North through Big Loud Rock. The album arrives after months of teasing new singles, amassing significant buzz with over 90 million streams worldwide, raucous festival appearances, and rowdy live performances around the globe. A Pacific Northwest native who has weathered a few storms and emerged on the other side, Man Of The North digs deep into St. John's resilient roots through the lens of his raw, immediate, and vulnerable songwriting.

“For four years, I had been writing songs that in one way or another addressed the roots of me,” stated St. John. “Songs about my childhood, being raised by a single mother (not having a father figure). Songs that dig into my relationship with religion, and how it impacted my mental health. Songs that reveal my battles with depression and the ways I chose to cope with that, namely, alcohol and drug abuse. Songs that dig deep into my relationships - the good, the bad, and the ugly, and songs that try to paint a picture of the beautiful land I am from. Man Of The North is an album about where I come from, who I come from, and what I come from.”

Album highlights include the gritty title track “Man Of The North,” which Wide Open Country called “a powerful song that I can't get enough of,” as well as “Trouble,” which Country Swag hailed as “soulful” while Riff Magazine raved “It's not really blues rock, though the guitar playing has that vibe. It's got a heavy Americana influence, but way more hard rock than that. It's gothic country, but without the country.” Earlier this year, St. John also shared “Devil in Disguise,” a hauntingly personal track featuring Houndmouth and the high energy, toe-tapping “Greyhound Bus Blues,” featuring GRAMMY Award-winning artist Molly Tuttle.
