Ik denk dat hij het zelf ook zou toegeven ... Danko Jones heeft het warm water niet uitgevonden en vernieuwend is het zeker niet. Maar Jones is godverdomme toch een kei in zijn vak en wat hij doet, doet hij niet gewoon goed maar meesterlijk goed.

"If you want it, you got it, we're gonna give you what you need." Deze openingszinnen van wat ook de opener van het nieuwe album, dat later dit jaar zal verschijnen, vat de essentie van Danko Jones perfect samen. Gewoon prettig gestoorde, lekker vuil klinkende 3-minuten rock 'n' roll. Jones, met zijn bassist John "JC" Calabrese en drummer Rich Knox staan live steevast garant voor een bruisend feestje, wat ze ons op 3 december zullen komen tonen in zaal Trix, Antwerpen.

Canadian premiere rock’n’roll three-piece DANKO JONES have just released their highly anticipated single ‘What You Need’. The song represents the first glimpse into their new album and also marks their debut at their new label, PERCEPTION, while their partnership with Sonic Unyon Records in their home country remains unchanged.

“You know what? I like the routine of recording, touring, writing, and repeat,” states singer/guitarist, Danko Jones himself. “I can do that till I’m dead! It may sound boring, but it’s so hard for a band to achieve. I don’t take this lightly. Also, it’s a page out of the MOTÖRHEAD handbook so it works! Since “Electric Sounds” we’ve been touring and touring. We managed to play in Mexico and Greece for the first time, and we even played Prince Edward Island, a province in Canada we’d never been to before. Other than that, it’s been a life of gigs and writing more songs to play more gigs!”
