Zoals gewoonlijk met deze rockers uit Maryland wordt een nieuwe song tijdens een recente tour meermaals gespeeld en is er instant herkenning bij de fans. Maar bij wie niet in de V.S. woont én Clutch sowieso volgt, zal er ook wel herkenning zijn. Red Alert is zo'n typische recht door zee rocksong zoals de band er al een pak heeft gemaakt, vooral sinds 2007. Niets nieuws onder de zon dus en dat is ergens wel een héél klein beetje ontgoochelend. Anderzijds, het is een teken dat er een nieuw album aankomt, wat dan weer iets is om naar uit te kijken. En een tour natuurlijk, maar op Pukkelpop na worden BE en NL overgeslaan. Not funny!
