Tja, dit is zo één van mijn guilty pleasures. Wat kan ik er meer over zeggen: Birdy is en blijft Birdy, de stem en piano raken me, alsook die licht melancholische ondertoon in haar muziek.
Piano Sketches verschijnt op 6 november via Warmer Music Benelux. Deze EP is de voorbode van een nieuw full album dat voor 2021 gepland staat.

De vier prachtig opgebouwde nummers op ‘Piano Sketches’ tonen waar Birdy staat als muzikant en artiest. "Piano Sketches", dat ze zelf schreef en producete, toont Birdy's ongelooflijke talent en artistieke groei sinds 'Beautiful Lies', haar album uit 2016. Met enkel een piano als begeleiding, straalt Birdy van het zelfvertrouwen en komt haar etherische stem nog meer tot haar recht. De eerste single uit de EP, 'Open Your Heart’ is een expressieve en oprechte terugkeer naar de piano.
