Ik las dat de jongeman een gelauwerde bluegrass muzikant zou zijn, maar hoorde daar niets van bij een eerste kennismaking vorige maand. De dubbele single Stratosphere Blues/ I Believe In You ging eerder de psychedelische toer op. Deze keer hoor ik de eerder vermelde invloeden wel. Het is bovendien terugflitsen in de tijd wat sfeer en geluid betreft. Het Western-thema van de video versterkt nog eens die sixties/seventies vibe. Strings is trouwens een fantastische six string picker.
Highway Prayers verschijnt op 27 september 2025 via Reprise Records.

The track is the latest unveiled from Stringsā highly anticipated forthcoming record, Highway Prayers, which will be released next Friday, September 27 on Reprise Records. Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Strings is known as one of musicās most compelling artists. The new studio album follows the recent release of Stringsā first live album, Billy Strings Live Vol. 1, which debuted at #1 on Billboardās Bluegrass Albums chart. Showcasing his electrifying concerts, the record features Strings performing some of his most beloved songsāincluding āDust in a Baggie,ā āAway From The Mire,ā and āTurmoil & Tinfoilāārecorded at venues around the world including Parisā La Cigale, Nashvilleās Ryman Auditorium, Austinās Moody Center, Atlantaās State Farm Arena and more.Ā
