Die Antwoord @ La Madeleine (Brussel, BE)
Die Antwoord's concert at La Madeleine in Brussels last night was one of the best techno parties I’ve ever attended, as I wouldn’t really call what happened in that venue a concert. It was more than that. With the duo asking to the audience if we have forgotten aabout then, which of course we didn’t, as their last album was more than 10 years ago, and from the moment they stepped onto the stage, it was clear that Ninja, Yolandi Visser, and even their DJ were there to give it their all. And us, Daddy’s kids, we didn’t disappoint, singing, buzzing, and answering to every cue they were giving us. The energy of the band members was palpable throughout the entire performance, as they seamlessly blended their unique blend of rap, rave, and electronic beats. Ninja's constant jumps into the audience kept the crowd on their toes, adding an element of spontaneity and excitement to the show. Each time he dove into the sea of fans, it felt like the party was taken to a whole new level. Specially with the grand finale, with Enter the Ninja, when Ninja entered into the crowd with the biggest jump. His faith on the crowd supporting him was undeniable. The atmosphere at La Madeleine was electric, with everyone in the venue fully immersed in the music and the moment. Die Antwoord didn't just perform; they created a massive party that engulfed the entire space. It was impossible not to get swept up in the infectious energy of the night. Lil2hood was the one in charge to set the spark for the big performance, giving us a twerking lesson on stage, and making sure the audience was already warmed up for what was about to come.
