Boy & Bear @ Le Botanique (Brussel, BE)
Botanique always offers that intimate setting that a lot of bands seek when playing in Brussels, and can even help to create roots for new friendships, as it happened for me when meeting Cecilia and Maya last Thursday, when Boy & Bear graced the stage, accompanied by the dynamic Boo Seeka as their special guest, delivering together an unforgettable musical experience. Boo Seeka set the tone for the evening with their unique blend of electronic, hip-hop, and indie elements. The duo's captivating stage presence and infectious beats had the audience entranced, creating an electrifying atmosphere that seamlessly transitioned into the main act. As Boy & Bear took the stage, the orangerie was finally filled up. The Australian indie-folk quintet kicked off their set with a perfect balance of fan-favorites and tracks from their latest album. The harmonious vocals of lead singer Dave Hosking resonated through the venue. The lighting complemented the music, also for Boo Seeka, creating plenty of opportunities for me to seek some great shots, and enhancing the overall atmosphere. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the short collaboration between Boy & Bear and Boo Seeka during the encore. The fusion of Boo Seeka's electronic beats with Boy & Bear's folk-infused melodies resulted in a wonderful musical synergy.
