Mantah - Alcatraz festival 2024 - aftermovie

Metal is terug is van nooit echt weggeweest! Gelukkig zijn het niet alleen de ondertussen halfbejaarde lawaaimakers van de eerste golf die podium, playlist en autoradio onveilig maken; een nieuwe generatie nu-metalgroepen is ondertussen opgestaan en klaar om hun plaats aan de top in te nemen. Nadat Mantah hun eerste album 'Evoke' in eigen beheer uitbracht, speelde de Torhoutse band in een rotvaart kleine en grote zalen (AB, 2x Alcatraz, Parkpop om er maar enkel te noemen) plat. Onder de vleugels van Polderrecords werd nu een tweede album opgenomen, dat de band voorstelt in een uitverkochte Club de B in Torhout.

Een eerste voorproefje kregen we al met de daverende single 'Start'. Als support staat er Belgische nu-metal royalty op het menu met niemand minder dan Gazzoleen.

MANTAH RETURNS WITH EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE ‘START’

After a period of silence, Belgium’s Mantah is back in full force. The brand-new single ‘START’ is the first powerful statement from their upcoming album ANTIDOTE, set for release on October 31, 2025 on Polderrecords.

With ‘START’, the band showcases exactly what they stand for: energetic, modern metal with a razor-sharp edge. The signature Mantah sound remains present, but this time, the band embraced subtle industrial influences to push their sound forward. The result is a fast-paced, no-compromise track that kicks the door wide open.

Production was once again handled by Tommie Bonajo, who delivered a crisp, cutting-edge mix. For the visuals, Mantah teamed up with rising creative talent Guillian Maertens, who’s responsible for the artwork, photography, and music videos: all capturing the toxic, modern aesthetic of the new era.

The ANTIDOTE album will be celebrated with a release show on November 1 at Club De B in Torhout, the very venue where it all started for Mantah exactly three years ago. A return to their roots, with eyes fixed on the future.

Unlike their debut album, which was released independently, Mantah is now working with Polderrecords, the Belgian label known for pushing bands like Gnome, Darqo and Your Highness to the next level. The release will receive the full treatment: CD, digital, and vinyl.

Gazzoleen

The iconic nu-metal band from Hasselt that shook the Belgian and Dutch scenes in the early 00s is making a comeback, and they’ll be joining us as special guests at our release show!

Known for their raw energy and grooving riffs, they tore up stages at Pukkelpop, Suikerrock, Paaspop, Jera On Air, and opened for acts like Disturbed.

After nearly two decades, the original line-up is back and ready to make noise again!

Time to dust off the wallet chains, re-dye those frosted tips, and pretend JimTV and TMF still exist.
