Courtney LaPlante ziet er in deze video uit als dat seuteke uit Glee (Lea Michele), heeft eveneens een sterke stem, MAARRRRRR .... voegt daar met haar screams een extra dimensie aan toe. Het nummer zelf is eigenlijk ook een pop song, zij het met een moddervette productie, knallende drums, scherpe riffs en dreunende basgitaar waardoor alles natuurlijk helemaal modern metal wordt. Ik val wel voor die contrasten tussen de (brave) melodieuze momenten en de hardere uithalen. Zéér goed gedaan.

Two-time JUNO-nominated Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox have announced their brand new EP, "The Fear Of Fear". Set for release on November 3 via Rise Records, "The Fear Of Fear" is highlighted by a new single “Jaded”and its accompanying cinematic music video.
“And I’ve always been ashamed that I want to / Fall into a dream with my honour desecrated / Blood is jaded I’ve never found a way to be honest” Courtney LaPlante sings on the ferocious middle verse of ‘Jaded’.
The EP builds on the bands momentum from their massively successful 2021 JUNO-nominated debut album"Eternal Blue", which hit #1 on the billboard Canadian rock and hard rock charts and dominated critics’ year-end lists. The EP features previously released standalone single“The Void” along with five new tracks for a total of six songs.
